Eurovision was last night - that was fun. And with significantly less vomiting than last year. There was BBQ, I bought way too much ice cream.
Now that I'm not furiously procrastinating for exams I've started playing Evil Genius again. It's quite fun. Still trying to entice Marina Mamba to walk in front of a turret though.

It's too hot for exams
I have officially finished my exams for this year. ERI yesterday was mostly calculations and explanations, the calculations were just applying the given equations whilst the explanations were only partly bluffed.
Classical fields was today and I think I did alright - none of the question I chose to do (it was an answer 3 of 5 paper) gave me alot of dificulty, though I almost made a really silly mistaken on the last one that I did but I caught it and finished with about half an hour to spare.
In other news for the past three days it has been far too hot - I'm fairly convinced the weather times it's high pressure systems just to nobble my exam performance. And I'm not the only one who suffered because of the heat. I miss winter.

Quantum World and sucess
Quantum World exam today - I think it went quite well. None of the questions were that difficult. I had to guess at a few things but overall I think I did well. ERI tomorrow.

Sorcerers and revision
Steve came over this morning to continue revising CF. Also had a doctors appointment.
SFFS tonight - watched The Sorcerers Apprentice (not as bad as I initally thought but still quite predictable) and a couple of episodes of Futurama.

Pain and infections
I was planning to spend today revising for QW, but my testicles decided otherwise. I ended up spending two hours in A&E, mostly waiting. Turns out it wasn't something urgent like torsion but probably a viral infection. Viral infections hurt. On the plus side I now have an excuse to breakout the opiates; amd I did get my balls fondled by a cute murse.

Avengers and burgers
Yesterday was the SFFS Avengers social - it started off with drinks at Tilt, a cocktail bar that I took about half an hour to find. Impressively when I ordered a virgin version of drink whose liquid content was provided mostly by alcohol they were able to make a surprising good drink. Then it was on to the cinema - Avengers in 3D did not disappoint.
The whole depth perception thing was somewhat undermined occasionally when an object would go forwards and to the edge of the screen and then not appear over the edge but that's a comment on the 3D technology than a genuine flaw with the film. The pacing and build up were both excellent, it avoided the worst clichés, there was just enough story for things to make sense without getting in the way of things, the action was well choreographed, the dialogue was witty and there was a bloody sky carrier. Easily the most fun I've had with a good film all year.
Afterwards we went to the Gourmet Burger Kitchen where I had a wild Boar burger (it's a bit to strongly flavoured for my taste) and onion rings. It was the first time that I'd been and I'll defiantly be going back there.
Today was much more sedate. I did some admin on the SFFS forums and went for a walk, which ended in me buying ice cream and ready made apple crumble.
